With a background in investment banking and senior management of large multinationals I have seen how effective money driven organisations have become at doing the wrong things (and been pretty good at being part of that). I have a range of organising, analytical, team building, strategic management skills that go with 20 years experience in these areas. With a little reorganisation we can create similar global organisations that can do the right things really well.

As a volunteer at the London Olympics I saw this in practise – for a few weeks life was AMAZING in London. It was MUCH better. Because everybody decided it would be so. Then it stopped and life became worse. My role was "humble" – part of the security team that screened baggage. Nobody was paid so everybody decided that security would be the best security experience ever. And it was – the team smiled and engaged – people laughed and smiled – and everybody loved it. We were fed, made friends, and were part of something amazing. I believe the whole world can be that good always. We just all need to decide it should be so and collectively work with that goal in mind.
